THE SUNDAY SOCIAL 2021
Update 21/03/21 - Sunday Club rides will restart 04/04/21.
Welcome to the post-lock down socially distanced Sunday Social! Geoff Mee and a few of the regular Sunday Social members will be putting this together.
We will be meeting at the Bull’s Head car park as usual (LE9 9JE), but there are some changes to be aware of.
To take part in a club, club members must sign up using using Spond by the Thursday prior to the ride (if you are a club member, and do not have details for Spond please email membership@leicesterforest.com).
Non-members, may sign up using the form below, and we will invite them into gaps in the groups.
For the time being groups will be limited to a maximum of ten riders. It is the riders responsibility to adhere to the relevant rules at cafe stops. We ask that riders stick to a group of six (or less) at a cafe stop and do not mix between the groups or you may be in breach of covid rules.
To co-ordinate the logistics, each group will have a voluntary group coordinator. The group coordinator will set the ride off, agree any route changes within the group and feedback to the committee on what worked and what didn’t work. The number of groups will be limited by the number of group coordinators, hence the only way to guarantee a ride is to volunteer as part of the sign-up.
All riders must observe social distancing when meeting, during and after the ride.
Start times for each group will be staggered between 09.15-09.45.
We will ride two abreast where it is safe to do so.
Riders are asked to bring a face covering (or mask) as required for cafes, and gloves should you need to help a fellow rider out at close quarters. Riders are also advised to familiarise themselves with Section Two of British Cycling’s The Way Forward guidance (click here to view)
Whilst cafes are still closed, routes will be planned to include a short stop at a ‘co-op’ / garage / takeaway to allow us to pick up something to eat and drink.

We would ask all LFCC riders that do not wish to take part to avoid using the Bulls Head as a meeting point on Sundays 0915-1000.
Please do not ride if you are experiencing any covid-type symptoms.
